Welcome to our Research Experience For Undergraduates program in Security for Mobile Sensing!

The TSYS School of Computer Science at Columbus State University is pleased to announce the development of a NSF CISE REU Site in Security for Mobile Sensing. In our program, students will participate in an 8-week research experience at Columbus State University in researching problems and issues related to security, privacy, authentication, data integrity, and malware for Mobile Sensing Environments. 

For the year 2019, the program will run from May 29 / 2019 until July 24 / 2019. This site is supported by the Department of Defense in partnership with the NSF REU program. 

Students will be awarded a stipend of $4000 plus travel, meals, and on campus housing. The program incorporates professional development activities.

To apply, students must be US citizens or permanent residents enrolled at an accredited higher learning institution (including two-year institutions) majoring in undergraduate computer science or computer science-related fields including mathematics, and who have taken relevant coursework in programming. Students must be at least in their second year of their academic studies. 

The application process for the 2019 experience is closed. If you're interested to apply for 2020, please return to this website in February/March 2020.
